CBSE Class 10 Syllabus 2026–27 & Sample Papers

Use the current CBSE Academic portal as the source of truth for your Class X subject syllabus, sample question papers and marking schemes. This guide brings the official entry points together and explains how to use them alongside independent practice.

1. Official CBSE Class X curriculum

The CBSE Academic portal publishes the curriculum for the 2026–27 academic year. Open the Class X section, read the introductory pages and select the subject document for your course. The Class X main-subject list includes Mathematics, Science and Social Science, with separate Mathematics Basic and Standard sample-paper resources.

2. Official Class X sample question papers and marking schemes

The official CBSE 2026–27 Class X archive lists sample question papers and marking schemes by subject. It includes Science, Mathematics Basic, Mathematics Standard, Social Science, English and additional language and elective subjects.

3. A practical revision workflow

  1. Check the current syllabus. Confirm the subject, course level (where applicable), chapters, prescribed content and assessment notes for 2026–27.
  2. Attempt the official sample paper. Use the paper for the current subject and session, under the time and conditions stated by CBSE.
  3. Review the official marking scheme. Compare the expected steps, method marks and answer format; do not rely on a third-party mock score as a board prediction.
  4. Practise weak topics. Use chapter-wise questions for additional repetition, then return to the official paper to check whether the underlying concept is secure.
  5. Recheck updates. CBSE can publish circulars or revised materials during the session. The official portal takes precedence over third-party summaries.

4. Independent practice on MockTestVault

The MockTestVault Class 10 catalogue currently lists 48 independent practice modules: 13 Science, 14 Mathematics and 21 Social Science chapter modules. It also includes selected formula and revision pages. These are practice resources, not official CBSE papers, and the question bank has not been fully cross-mapped or independently verified against every 2026–27 syllabus requirement.

Important accuracy note: Do not treat year-labelled 2023/2024 question sets as authenticated previous-year board papers. Original papers and official marking schemes have not been matched item by item. See the public question sources and review policy for the current review status.

5. Sources and update notes

This guide links directly to the CBSE Academic curriculum and sample-paper pages. The official archive pages are maintained by CBSE and may change; always confirm that the document you open is for the correct academic session and subject.
